Samoa
Diary
In 1947
Cmdr. Edward Horne was transferred to American Samoa where he became
the legal officer for the naval base and Assistant Attorney General
for the island.
With two
toddlers in tow, his wife Polly, acquired an old Underwood typewriter and using discarded menus from
the officers mess for paper, wrote about her adventures.
